KANSAS CITY, MO – The Angel Capital Association (ACA), the premier professional organization for angel investors, is pleased to announce a yearlong partnership with Pershing Ventures. Pershing Ventures provides customized, revenue-based growth capital to private, revenue-generating early-stage ventures and SMEs. This 12-month partnership will give ACA’s community of angel investors, angel groups, and the founders they are backing new education on revenue-based financing. It also brings an exclusive offering for ACA members and another option for funding growth without giving up equity.
Expanding the Capital Toolkit for Angel-Backed Companies
Angel investors know that equity is not always the right answer at every stage of a company’s growth. Pershing Ventures provides funding from US$50,000 to US$1,000,000 to companies in the United States, Canada, England, and Australia, with funding typically available within two to four weeks. Founders can use this capital for a range of growth initiatives. These include sales and marketing, customer acquisition, hiring, inventory purchases, extending runway, and bridging to or completing an equity round.
To be eligible, companies generally need at least one fiscal year of operating history and annual revenue of US$500,000 or more (or US$40,000+ monthly recurring revenue). They must also use a supported accounting platform, such as QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, or Oracle NetSuite. Funding cannot be used to refinance, consolidate, or repay existing debt. Companies in the crypto/Web3, cannabis, real estate, and infrastructure sectors are not eligible.
Driving Mutual Benefits
“Founders today need more ways to fund their growth, and angel investors are always looking for ways to help their portfolio companies go further,” said Pat Gouhin, CEO of the Angel Capital Association. “We’re excited to welcome Pershing Ventures as a partner this year. Their non-dilutive capital gives angel-backed companies another tool to extend runway, accelerate revenue, and reach their next milestone in a stronger position. That’s good for founders, good for the investors who back them, and good for the entire early-stage ecosystem.”
“Angel-backed companies are exactly the kind of revenue-generating, high-potential businesses we built our financing for,” said Tor Trivers, Chief Investment Officer at Pershing Ventures. “Partnering with the Angel Capital Association allows us to reach founders who can use non-dilutive capital to hit key milestones and strengthen their position ahead of their next equity round.”
