ACA Volunteer Opportunities: Engage with Your Community

Thank you for your interest in joining an ACA Committee.  Please read the descriptions below and submit the form to let us know which committee(s) you are interested in and someone will be in touch.  Note that the review and response process may take a couple of weeks.  Additionally, the process to join the ACA Board is different and we will send out information on that via our weekly newsletter periodically.

Establish the necessary partnerships and relationships required to facilitate efficient data collection. Provide contributing angel groups the opportunity to compare their group’s financial metrics with angel groups in their region and angel groups on a national level. Establish and oversee an ACA revenue plan based on aggregated data access provided to ACA member and non-members, and provide academic institutions the opportunity to utilize the ACA data for research. This committee has the support of an advisory council of attorneys and accountants for research and advice and works with a government affairs firm to assist in strategy, implementation, and connections. Guides the work of a team of angel volunteers who conduct grassroots education and inform policymakers at the Federal and State level of ACA positions.

As ACA continues to fulfill our mission of being the steward and thought leader for the global angel community, we are searching for the smartest and most energetic, highly motivated and accomplished candidates to serve on the ACA Board of Directors. Our next application round will be for FY26.

Desired nominees should have expertise in one or more areas of ACA’s special focus for the coming year: Membership Development, Marketing, Data Analytics and Business Development. Successful candidates should also have experience as senior leaders of angel groups or other organizations within the startup ecosystem. And, of course, we put a premium on those who have demonstrated the drive and ability to get things done, for ours is a very active Board. Other selection criteria will include a history of effective work on behalf of the ACA. As a transparent and open organization committed to representing the broadest range of angels and angel organizations, we also seek a Board that is geographically and demographically diverse.
