You may also provide information about your organization, your role within the organization and how you learned about ACA. The information you provide will assist us in tailoring our content to your needs.

Registrants will receive e-mail newsletters, updates about new content on our site, new web resources we recommend, and other news of interest to angel investing groups.

You may have your name removed from our e-mailing list at any time, by sending an e-mail to Heather Krejci with your name, e-mail address, and the words UNSUBSCRIBE ACA in the “subject” field.

Credit Card Information

If you choose to register for an event via the ACA site, you may need to provide personal information and authorization for us to obtain information from various credit services. For example, in addition to the information above, you may need to provide the following:

Currently this information is collected via third party ticketing options, although it is possible that ACA may collect such data directly at a later date.

Security

We have recently become aware that some bad actors are contacting angel groups and others with a solicitation to sell ACA member names and contact information.  Rest assured that ACA does not and will not sell lists directly or through any third party nor do any of these groups have ACA member data.  Unfortunately, this scam is fairly typical and many of these bad actors reside outside the U.S. making prosecution for fraudulent activity even more challenging.  Under no circumstances should you engage with nor send funds to any entity reporting to have ACA member information for sale.  If contacted by any such groups that claim to represent ACA, please notify ACA immediately at (provide best email address).

If you have provided your consent, we will subscribe you to our Newsletter.  Once subscribed, we will inform you about interesting offers related to our products and/or services. After your confirmation we will save the aforementioned data for the purpose of sending you the newsletter and promotional emails. The legal ground for processing data in this regard is Article 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Please note that Angel Capital Association evaluates your user behavior when sending the newsletter. For this evaluation, the e-mails sent contain web beacons or tracking pixels, which represent one-pixel image files stored on our website. For the evaluations we link the data that we processed and the web beacons with your e-mail address and an individual ID.  Links received in the newsletter also contain this ID. The data is only collected pseudonymously, the IDs are not linked to your other personal data, a direct personal relationship is excluded.

We record if and when you read our newsletters, which links you clicked and deduce your personal interests from these information. The data will be processed by our contractual service partner (for further information about service partners please see below). We link this data to actions taken by you on our website.

The information is stored as long as you stay subscribed to the newsletter. After an unsubscription, we store the data purely statistically and anonymously.  Please note, that your withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

You have the right to request the immediate deletion of your data if one of the following reasons applies:

  • the deletion of data is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation under European or national law,
  • the data were collected in relation to an offer of information society services directly to a child provided in accordance with Article 8 para. 1 GDPR.

We will comply with the request for deletion, unless we are legally obliged or entitled to continue storing and processing your data. In particular, legal retention periods are considered as legal obligations. Furthermore, we are entitled to continued storage if we are unable to assert, exercise or defend legal claims without your data. 

If we have made your data public and are obliged to delete it, we will take appropriate measures, taking into account the available technology and the implementation costs, to inform those responsible if you have also requested the deletion from them.
